Anyone submitting work to the Nonsense Society must first read and agree to these terms.
By submitting, The Nonsense Society, Christopher Collins, and its subsidiaries have the right to use show and display the works submitted. The Nonsense Society may display the submitted works on The Nonsense Society website and at live events featuring The Nonsense Society. The Nonsense Society has the right to display any portion of the works or all of the works in their entirety. The Nonsense Society also has the right to give out any of the information provided with submissions. Anyone will be able to view and have access to submitted works on The Nonsense Society website. The Nonsense Society has permission to display any comments or reviews about my work on the website. If at any time submitters wish to remove their work and information from the website they must email The Nonsense Society with that request. The Nonsense Society will email a confirmation and remove the works and information within a week of that confirmation. All emails must be sent from the email address used to submit the original works.
Submission of material to The Nonsense Society is solely at the submitter’s own risk. Submitters must own any copyrights, trademarks, patents, and have legally acquired or licensed any rights and licenses required to show the works submitted. Submitters must maintain any and all licenses and rights necessary in connection with all uses of the submitted work without limitation. The submitted works may not infringe upon any statutory or common law copyright and shall not constitute an invasion or defamation of the right of privacy, infringement, or publicity. The submitter will be held responsible and liable for any violations or infringements of the submitted works. All submitters agree to indemnify and absolve The Nonsense Society and its subsidiaries, affiliates, agents, officers, parents, directors, owners, employees, and other artists of any and all liabilities resulting in the works’ submission into The Nonsense Society (this includes any losses, claims, costs, damages, lawsuits, and infringements). Submitters absolve The Nonsense Society and its parents, affiliates, employees, agents, and officers of any incidental, indirect, special, or consequential damages in association with the submitted works. If a viewer notices any content on the site that constitutes infringement, notify The Nonsense Society immediately!
The submitters will be held responsible for any offensive content I submit to The Nonsense Society. If any works are deemed offensive, upsetting, obscene, racist, sexist, misleading, false, fraudulent, pornographic, violent, or indecent, all complaints will be directed to the submitter. The submitter is responsible for the content included their works, not The Nonsense Society. All submitters attest that the submitted content does not include anything that could be deemed child pornography.
All submissions sent to The Nonsense Society may be used to promote, advertise, preview, and publicize The Nonsense Society. The Nonsense Society may use any section (or all) of submitted works in promotional projects, previews, commercials, and advertisements. The Nonsense Society may also display the submitted works at live events.
All submitters allow the Nonsense Society to host their work on sites such as flickr or vimeo. If those submitting do not want their work on an account under the Nonsense Society or Chris Collins they may request to make their own account on flickr or vimeo and provide that url to the Nonsense Society upon submisson.
For author’s submitting work to the Nonsense Society be aware of the following. If an author’s work is accepted into the Nonsense Society and appears on the website, the Nonsense Society obtains first electronic serial rights for the author’s work. Upon publication the copyright reverts back to the author and they may do as they please provided that they cite the Nonsense Society as the first publication. If an author has had their submission published elsewhere it is their responsibility to notify the Nonsense Society of previous publications upon submission.
The Nonsense Society also requests that pictures of the artist are provided with submissions. The Nonsense Society may alter, enhance, and edit any pictures provided with the submitted work. It is also the responsibility of the submitter to provide the Nonsense Society with the Creative Commons License that they want protecting their work on the Nonsense Society website. Please note that the Creative Commons License that the artist chooses only applies to the Nonsense Society and that the artist may choose a separate license for future endeavors. If the submitter does not specify a Creative Commons License then the Nonsense Society will post that all rights are reserved. Although the Nonsense Society attempts to makes it clear that all art is the property of the artist, the Nonsense Society cannot be held responsible for any theft or infringement of copyrighted works. Submission to and use of the Nonsense Society website is at the submitter’s own risk.
By providing to this website information that forms the basis of communication with you, such as an email address, you waive all rights to file complaints concerning unsolicited email or spam from this website since, by providing such information, you agree to receive communication from us or other marketing organizations. However, any request to unsubscribe from email communication will be honored via a written request or by clicking an ‘unsubscribe’ link where you may notify the website that you no longer wish to receive solicitations or information from the website and your name will be removed from the general solicitation database.

The Nonsense Society may modify and update this agreement on occasion. Submitting works to The Nonsense Society constitutes acceptance of modifications. The Nonsense Society may remove any content, work, and information from the website for any reason. The Nonsense Society will notify the submitters via email regarding significant modifications to the agreement or the removal of their works. The Nonsense Society may deny any submissions at any time.
On projects and contests: previous winners of contests and projects will not qualify for voting in future projects. This decision is to give equal opportunity to all members.
