Summer 2013: We are seeking creative submissions about “love.”

Dear Nonsense Society,

After almost five years of promoting your creativity, with millions of views to your work, and success stories from around the world, I’d like to announce a new project. This summer, we are sending out an open call for submissions with a common theme. I think it is something we all can appreciate and relate to. We would like to see your creative expressions of “LOVE”

If you’d like to enter simply send an email to chris@nonsensesociety.com with the following (no more, no less):

  • one creative work that represents “love” to you (highest quality available)
  • one sentence about your unique love story (happy/sad/anything)
  • one link to where we can find you and your work (just one, you pick)

Deadline: June 30, 2013 at 11:59pm (wherever you are)

All accepted submissions will be posted throughout this summer. I will spread out the submissions over the season so everyone gets a chance in the spotlight. The pieces will also be promoted on our various social networks. Please keep in mind that your sentence about love will be shared with your work, so make it good.

At the end of summer I will announce (via email/blog/twitter/facebook/etc) that voting is open. You, your friends, and our readers will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite “love” piece. Two pieces will be selected (an editor favorite and a voter favorite) to be promoted on the blog via banner ads during the autumn months.

I will not accept any overtly vulgar/obscene entries, entries that do not appear to actually fit the theme, repeat submissions, or anything that strongly contradicts what the Nonsense Society represents. Make sure you submit something that really does represent love. Be as creative as you’d like and try to move us. I don’t want to see a random link from your portfolio. I want to see/hear/feel love. Inspire us.

Let’s show the world what love means to you. I can’t wait to see what you come up with.

Ready? Go.

P.S. Any ideas for a fall theme?
